2010 Man & Woman of the Year

The 2010 Man & Woman of the Year campaign is about to kick off. Eight candidates are confirmed and will be competing starting on March 8 for the title of Man or Woman of the Year.

Our honorees this year are Diana Reidy, 5 years old (left) and Corbin Leonard, 12 years old. These special survivors will serve as the inspiration for our candidates in their campaign for a cure.

Important dates are:

Kick Off Event: March 11 @ 6 p.m.

Midway Event: April 7 @ 6 p.m.

Roaring Twenties Grand Finale: May 14 @ 6 p.m. at the Denver Athletic Club. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Andrea Steffes at andrea.steffes@lls.org or calling 303-984-2110

Team In Training Position Open

Part-time Temporary Assistant Job Description
“The Team In Training department is looking for a Temporary Assistant to assist with our recruitment for the Nike Women’s Marathon and The Nation’s Triathlon. The Assistant will answer incoming phone calls regarding the upcoming preview events and place outgoing calls to potential participants who have shown interest in joining the team. The Assistant will facilitate planning and coordinating a Nike Women’s Marathon Preview Event and a Nation’s Triathlon Recruitment Happy Hour. Duties associated with this event include tracking RSVPs, making follow-up calls, confirming event details with venue, assembling gift bags, and handling other event details.”

Required Skills
-TNT alumni with strong knowledge of TNT program, or ability to learn quickly
-Polished phone skills and outgoing, engaging personality
-Basic computer skills for data entry, Excel, Word, email etc.
-Strong attention to detail
-Positive, upbeat attitude
-Experience in event coordination preferred

Payment & Details
-Start date: ASAP
-$12.50/hour, 25 hours/week for 12 weeks
